Reaching Our Community during “Life Apps”
Wow! God really moved last Sunday during the worship services here at Central and I am pumped about teaching “Life Apps” from the book of Proverbs the next four Sundays! You do not want to miss this series!
I’m blogging this because I need your help. You see, I believe that God is going to change lives this month through the teaching in Proverbs, but people have to hear the teaching in order to be changed. Here is what I’m asking you to do for me:
1. I need you to invite and bring your unchurched family members, friends, and co-workers to Central or Journey this month during the “Life Apps” series. This teaching is practical application of God’s truths to everyday life. For your convenience, we have 4 services at Central at 8, 9:30, 11, and 5 p.m. and 2 services at the Journey Campus at 9:30 or 11:00. We offer 6 worship opportunities. We are ONE CHURCH in two locations. Go to centralbaptist.com for directions and other details.
2. I need you, if possible, to considering attending and bringing guests to the 5:00 p.m. service in the LOFT at Central. The music and message are identical to Central’s 9:30 and 11:00 Sunday morning services. The atmosphere is relaxed, dress is casual, and childcare is provided for birth through 4 years of age. The 5:00 p.m. service is great for anyone who is unable to attend morning worship services at Central or the Journey campus due to serving in ministry, their work schedule, or that a Sunday afternoon worship service works better for them in their stage of life. Please help me get the word out about this new worship opportunity at 5:00 p.m. in the Loft at Central. Call, email, Facebook, or twitter your family, friends, and work associates and invite and bring them to this new 5:00 p.m. worship opportunity.
Our mission that God has given us is to “go and make disciples.” Together, let’s make a concentrated effort to reach out to those without Christ and introduce them to HIM through the teaching of HIS word during our “Life Apps” series.
See you Sunday
Saturate your Heart with the Word of God
Saturate your Heart with the Word of God
God really moved Sunday during all the worship services at Central! I’m excited about what Jesus is going to do doing our “Life App” series. Concerning our series in Proverbs, we will continue to see a command from the Lord to retain, obey, hide, keep, and saturate our heart with HIS Word. Again, this coming Sunday in Proverbs 4, we see the same command. Wonder why this is a reoccurring theme in Proverbs? May be because there is a present epidemic of hearing God’s Word, but not practicing God’s Word? We all love conferences, notebooks, and outlines explaining God’s Word and we love to hear “good preaching,” but do we actually practice it? You may recall last Sunday I stated that if you “practice these principles” it will be all you can handle this week. So… how are doing “Saturating” your heart with God’s word? I challenge you this week to: 1. Read or listen to the Word of God this week – sounds simple but for many Christians, Bible reading is a challenge. In today’s culture, there is a plethora of opportunities for putting God’s word into your heart and mind. If you determine to read 3 chapters a day from your bible and you will come close to reading through the Bible in a year. Pick up a chronological Bible here at Central and join our church family reading through the Bible or download a Bible app on your phone from YouVersion and choose one of the reading plans. It will even text you and remind you to read the Bible. 2. Be a part of Corporate Worship this Sunday. As I stated God is moving in the book of Proverbs. Some more great principles for practicing Godly living are coming this Sunday. 3. Join a Life Group – this is the place where you fellowship, pray, and go deep. Let God grow you through small group discipleship this week. 4. Make a commitment to practice what you read in Scripture; from the smallest to the largest. See you Sunday!
